Rapture
Rapture
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18
Title: Rapture
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died[h] will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.
Probably, when most pastors preach about the rapture, they just start to get startled.
Actually, the rapture is very important.
So, what is the most important theme in eschatology is the rapture in a word.
But what is the problem with the rapture?
The rapture is important, but if we do not properly interpret the issue of the rapture biblically and interpret it incorrectly, our faith may be distorted and wrong because of this.
What you need to know is that correct faith comes from correct interpretation of the Bible.
The basis of our faith is the Bible, and it can be wrong when the experience of 'when will Jesus come' becomes the basis of our faith by any subjective experience, vision, or revelation.
We've seen a lot of misguided missionaries along the way.
Many of our faiths are being damaged by misinterpreted eschatologists.
It should be remembered that the rapture syndrome continues to captivate Christians more and more as the end of the world approaches.
And it is the fact that the devil is deceiving the biblical eschatology from the intention of God.
I am going to interpret the rapture correctly at this time today.
It starts with correctly interpreting the Bible.
When we speak of eschatology, we often stimulate peripheral nerves.
But it's not the Lord's eschatology to stimulate our peripheral nerves.
We must interpret the eschatology from the point of view of the history of redemption.
Here is the word ‘the end’.
The Greek word is eskatos (ἔσχατος,), which refers to two aspects.
1) The word eskatos was used when referring to the first coming of Jesus.
Let's look at Hebrews 1:2.
2 And now in these final days (ἔσχατος), he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.
2) The word eskatos is also used when referring to the second coming of Jesus.
In John 11:24, this concept of eskatos is described as a blessed day of salvation for the righteous.
24 “Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last (ἐσχάτῃ) day.”
It is recorded in 1 Peter 1:5.
5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power his until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last (ἐσχάτῃ) day for all to see.
And for the wicked, on the other hand, it is marked as a day of hopeless destruction.
It is recorded in John 12:48.
48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment (ἐσχάτῃ) by the truth I have spoken.
The key to this eschatology is the point of view of the history of redemption.
Any topic in the Bible will be wrong if it is not interpreted from the point of view of redemption history.
Of all these, eschatology is the biggest problem.
Simply put the redemptive history perspective deals with human salvation and destruction.
What is the opposite of the history of redemption?
In fact, theologians only deal with the history of redemption, but in a strict sense, the Bible deals with the history of redemption and destruction of mankind.
I can tell you that that is the essence of the eschatology.
Why is the eschatology wrong?
There are two eschatological syndromes now occupied with regard to two eschatological theories.
The first is eschatological mania.
When you hear the word eschatological rapture, you don't sleep, you just go into ecstasy and go into ecstasy.
The second is eschatological phobia.
Hearing the apocalypse is scary.
It looks like the 7 year tribulation is coming, the 3rd world war will happen, the great catastrophe will happen, the antichrist will rise and kill people.
Whether it's eschatological mania or eschatological phobia, all humans die.
On the side of the maniac or the side of the phobia, what are humans interested in gaining?
They are using it as a means to satisfy human catharsis.
God did not give us to do eschatology that way.
Especially in the second half of the 20th century, disasters on Earth are accelerating.
Disaster movies like these capture the hearts of the public.
Then humans feel catharsis.
Because of this difficult world atmosphere, Christian eschatology is gaining momentum.
Because it's an important topic that grabs people's attention.
Ruler! So, why are people so fascinated by this Christian eschatology?
Why is the sound of the pre-tribulation rapture so appealing to people?
I go before the 7 year tribulation.
Everyone in the world perishes, but I am the only one going up.
That is why the rapture during the eschatology, especially the rapture before the tribulation, fits people's instincts.
Whether the pre-tribulation rapture is biblical or not is irrelevant.
Each other, even if the Bible does not support the pre-tribulation rapture theory, I will believe it.
Because it satisfies catharsis, yes.
Do you understand?
But you shouldn't do that.
The Bible is not a tool for us to resolve catharsis.
This is the truth.
In this respect, we now have to interpret the eschatology correctly.
It is to correctly interpret the Bible from the point of view of the history of redemption.
So, how do we interpret the Bible correctly?
Two things to interpret
It is that two things are absolutely required to interpret the correct eschatology of the rapture.
The first is the rapture before the tribulation! Or, we need two basic things to determine whether it is the rapture after the tribulation.
One of them is that we have to interpret the original language.
You need to read Greek and solve this problem.
The second is context.
You can find the answer in the back and forth context.
The source language and context should be taken into account.
What is the meaning and purpose of the rapture?
In the 2000 years of Christian history, it has been determined whether the rapture was before or after the tribulation, but the meaning and purpose of the rapture have not been determined precisely.
To know this, you need to know one thing.
What is it?
A correct understanding of the Millennium Kingdom is required.
Messianic Kingdom this is a millennial kingdom.
So why don't many theologians today know what the meaning and purpose of the rapture is?
That's very clear.
In the Protestant theology leading the 2000-year history, there is a theology called alternative theology.
What has Replacement Theology replaced?
In a nutshell, what is the essence of replacement theology?
In the original Old Testament, the Jews were God's covenant people.
They were cursed by the crucifixion and death of Jesus, destroying God's covenant relationship with them.
Then, the blessing of that covenant passed on to the Gentile Christians, as to whom it came from.
Do you understand?
So, what is the most important theme for the Jews of the Old Testament?
It is the Messiah and the Messiah Kingdom.
Who did it come from?
The blessing came to Christians who were cursed for rejecting the Messiah by the Jews.
The most important theme in Judaism is the Messianic Kingdom.
The Millennial Kingdom is what we Protestants are talking about in the New Testament.
So, from the Christian's point of view, the millennium is not a real or historical one.
The millennial kingdom (Messianic kingdom) has been expected for a long time, which the Jews so longed for, but that thousand-year kingdom has not come.
So now you're ignoring the Millennium.
So, not a literal interpretation, but a spiritual interpretation.
So, replacement theology occupies the majority of Protestantism from the two-thousand-year history of the Church, from the era of the Church Fathers to Luther and Calvin.
Because of replacement theology, we do not know the reality of the Millennium Kingdom and the Messianic Kingdom, so we do not know the meaning and purpose of the Rapture and the Rapture.
It's amazing.
I told you these two today.
To properly talk about the Rapture, we must first understand the original language interpretation and context, and then we can correctly interpret the Millennium Kingdom.
Then it will be possible to correctly understand the rapture from the point of view of the history of redemption.
This sermon is very important to me today.
The rapture issue is coming to an end.
This is to help you not to fall into temptation because the devil will hate many Christians with this.
What is today's text?
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
Everyone knows today's text as the most important verse when we usually say the rapture. It says that 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is the word of the rapture.
In particular, let's read 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 from among these verses.
If we were to title that sermon today, it could be called 'the advent and rapture of Christ'.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
Descending from heaven.
It is the coming of Christ.
What comes next?
The dead are resurrected and the livings are taken up into the air.
Pulled up into the air this is the rapture.
The Greek word here translated 'to lift up' is ‘harpagesometha’, the indicative future passive form of ‘harpazo’.
What does this ‘harpazo’ mean?
It's about grabbing something.
It's like an eagle chasing a chick or plundering something.
That's what it means.
A similar ‘harpazo’ is found elsewhere in the Bible, in Acts 8: 39.
If you look here, ‘the Spirit of the Lord led Philip away.’ Philip preached the gospel to an Ethiopian eunuch.
Then the Holy Spirit suddenly took Philip.
So he was taken to another province.
Bible is talking about it.
The word 'taken away' means ‘harpazo’, which means rapture.
This word has a connotation of coerciveness and coercion.
It has nothing to do with one's own will from the standpoint of the rapture, which is being slaughtered without notice.
You are walking down the street and suddenly it fills up.
Here, it is now the angels who make the rapture spoken of in the biblical text.
An angel will come and take him away.
It is self-reliant and has nothing to do with it.
It happens suddenly, in moments you don't realize.
So now this ‘harpazo’ now we usually use the word rapture.
However, if you look at this text, you will find out when the rapture will occur.
In today's text, there will be rapture at the coming of Christ.
So here we now think.
If there is rapture at the coming of Christ, then when is the coming of Christ or before the tribulation? Or is it after the tribulation?
If we say pre-tribulation, the coming of Christ will be raptured before the tribulation, and if it is post-tribulation, the coming of Christ will be raptured after the tribulation.
Then when is the coming of Christ?
Advent here refers to parousia (παρουσία).
So to tackle this first.
First, is it the pre-tribulation rapture theory or the post-tribulation rapture theory?
Let's tackle this issue.
Now, there is the theory that the rapture is in the middle of the tribulation, but that has been weakened, and there are two pre-tribulation rapture theories and the post-tribulation rapture.
There is a denomination that strongly advocates the theory of the pre-tribulation rapture, and that denomination is dispensationalist theologians.
This theory is what we call dispensational premillennialism.
What is dispensationalism?
The history of God's redemption is divided into 7 generations, and God's handling of humans is different in each age.
This is called dispensationalism.
Dispensationalism deals with eschatology and these people are called premillennialists.
What does pre-millennialism mean here is that there is a thousand-year kingdom before the eternal heaven.
That's why I call it the millennium.
However, they say that there is a thousand-year kingdom before the eternal kingdom of heaven, and that there is rapture just before the 7-year tribulation.
That is why dispensationalist premillennialism is called dispensationalist premillennialism because dispensational theologians claim the pre-tribulation rapture.
The post-tribulation rapture theory is claimed by historical pre-millennialists.
Obviously, in eternity, heaven is historically and practically built on this earth.
It is called historical pre-millennialism.
It is said to be historically pre-millennial.
There are the most representative scholars who support the historical pre-millennialism.
Those who believe in historical premillennialism are Reformed eschatologists.
Reformed is a Presbyterian denomination.
What we should not misunderstand is that Calvin originally was a-millennialist.
The original orthodox Presbyterian Church members do not believe in a millennium because of the a-millennialism that historically there is no real millennium.
A-millennialists believe that just after the evangelism period is over, we will enter the kingdom of heaven forever at Jesus' Second Coming.
However, not all Presbyterians are a-millennialists.
People apply the Greek word Parousia (παρουσία) for the coming before the tribulation.
Parousia occurs during the pre-tribulation rapture.
The second coming of Christ is the second coming to the earth, and how to express this in English is called glorious appearing.
Glorious appearance occurs after the tribulation, after the 7 years of tribulation, and there are two Greek words applied here.
‘Apocalypses’ and ‘epiphany’.
First, to express what Apocalypses means, revelation (2Thess1: 7) translates to 'appearing'.
Second, Epiphaneia is manifestation (2Thess2: 8), which translates as 'the appearance of Christ'.
Dispensationalist theologians teach that Apocalypses and Epiphaneia are words applied to the Second Coming after the Tribulation.
This book is a two-fold interpretation of the coming of Christ.
"The beginning of the end".
This book was written by a dispensationalist theologian named 'Tim LaHaye'.
Then, the saints who were raptured in the air are judged for 7 years in front of the judgment seat.
Then all the wicked will die on the earth.
The seven-year tribulation is on earth.
Then look here.
This word, Glorious Appearing, is a very meaningless term.
Here is the glorious manifestation of the Second Coming on earth.
Then there is the White Throne Judgment.
The majority are historical pre-millennialists.
Not all Presbyterians, like George Ladd, are a-millennialists.
George Ladd is a historical pre-millennialist.
I’m talking about this.
These are things you need to understand.
Dispensational pre-millennialism
Dispensationalists believe in dispensational pre-millennialism, and the pre-tribulation rapture, and these people divide the coming of Christ into two stages.
What is the first step in the coming of Christ?
When Christ comes, He first descends into the air.
It means that He will descend into the air before coming to earth.
When you say what it is, it is called an air descent.
It's called airborne.
The second is called the Second Coming on earth.
When Christ comes, He will come in two stages.
First of all, it is called Rapture because it comes into the air and raptures the saints.
It is said that the wicked will be judged and there will be a thousand-year kingdom.
It's like this.
Do you understand?
All here are dispensationalist theologians claiming this.
Then, as these people claim, parousia refers to the rapture before the tribulation, the advent of Christ is the public advent, and apocalypsis and epiphaneia are different events that occur after the seven-year tribulation, the tribulation, as the Second Coming (Glorious appearing).
Let's see what the Bible really teaches.
First, let's take a look at the first relationship between parousia and epiphaneia.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:8, it says:
“Then the lawless one will appear, and the Lord Jesus will kill him with the breath of his mouth, and will bring an end to his coming and appearing.”
Here we are talking about the coming of Christ.
Parousia
However, dispensationalists describe this parousia as the rapture before the 7 years tribulation, but the text does not express it that way.
They claim that the coming of Christ will appear after the appearance of the lawless, the Antichrist.
So when will the Antichrist appear?
Not before the tribulation, but in the middle of the tribulation.
According to Revelation 13, the coming of Christ must appear after the appearance of the Antichrist.
It will be after the tribulation.
It is because dispensationalists have misinterpreted it.
And in the text, 'appearing' in 'appearing' in the text is epiphaneia.
So Parousia is Advent and epiphaneia is Appearance, which is synonymous with appearance.
Parousia and epiphaneia are synonyms.
Also, in 1Thess 4:16, 17, the rapture is true after the tribulation because the rapture occurs when Christ comes.
Now, unequivocally, it is now a proof.
Second, let's look at the relationship between parousia and apocalypsis.
Dispensationalists say parousia is the pre-tribulation rapture, they say the advent of the air, and apocalypsis is after the tribulation of the Second Coming, but they say something else.
What does the Bible really say?
In Matthew 24:37 there is this verse.
As in the days of Noah, so will the coming of the Son of Man 'parousia'.
This is where parousia came from.
It means that Jesus will come in the time of parousia.
And there is another passage that deals with the same thing.
It is in Luke 17:26-37, 'So it will be in the days of the Son of Man.'
The day on which the Son of Man appears is called apocalypses.
Matthew 24:37 speaks of the coming of the Son of Man as parousia, and here in Luke 17:26-37,
it is the apocalypses on the day of the Son of Man's appearance.
They say the same thing. Parousia and apocalypses are synonymous.
In particular, in Matthew 24:27, 29, 30, it is said that the coming of the Son of Man, that is, parousia, is the day of the coming of Christ, which will be after the tribulation.
It is said that he will come after the tribulation.
'It will be the same with the coming of the ruler'
Matthew 24: 29 says that it will be immediately after the tribulation that day.
When is Parousia?
It is said after the tribulation.
So then they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with power and with his power.
This is the Second Coming on earth.
The parousia where Christ comes is the advent of Christ and after the tribulation, and that is the Second Coming on earth.
This is how it all comes out.
In 24: 31, 37, 40, 41, which deals with the same content as the Gospel of Matthew, which follows, it is mentioned that the rapture will take place at the coming of Christ (parousia).
He will send his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Then if two are in the field, one will be taken and the other left.
If two women are grinding at the mill, one will be taken away and the other will be left behind.
Being taken away is the rapture.
An angel will come and gather the saints from one end to the other.
When is that day?
At the time of Parousia (at the time of the Second Coming on the earth) there will be the rapture.
It says so clearly.
What do you realize here?
The rapture is wrong before the tribulation and right after the tribulation.
We realize this.
The sad reality is that most Korean Christians believe in the pre-tribulation rapture because they are deeply absorbed in dispensationalism, eschatology, and dispensational pre-millennialism.
But it is not 100% of the Korean.
More than 95% of them believe in the rapture before the tribulation.
All denominations believe that if they do not believe in the rapture before the tribulation, they are heretics.
For such a long time, they have been believing, spreading, and digging the pre-tribulation rapture, but they are wrong.
Wrong is wrong.
If the majority believe, will that lie become the truth?
Believe it, there is no rapture before the tribulation.
Even though it is recorded in the Bible, the wrong theological framework is making us blind to the truth.
Am I talking about something that isn't in the Bible right now?
Even though it is written in the Bible, I do not believe it.
Because of these are the problems with Christians today.
I'm not trying to believe the Bible, I'm trusting my feelings or my subjective experience.
And I believe in what I want it to be.
I believe in God that way.
They do not believe in the God they believe in according to the truth, but worship Jehovah God as if they were idolatry.
If you worship Jesus, you will not know the truth.
The Bible does not teach the pre-tribulation rapture, but the post-tribulation rapture.
So that person asks:
In many places in the Bible, there are many verses that support the theory of the pre-tribulation rapture.
How do you interpret this?
You have to explain that.
In this hour, I will unravel the misquoted passages that support the pre-tribulation rapture.
There are three main types.
1. There is a time gap of 7 years between the public rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ.
Dispensational eschatologists teach that there is a seven-year time gap between the public rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ.
To put it simply, if the rapture occurs before the tribulation, the saints on the earth will be taken up and receive Jesus in the air, who has descended in the air, the second coming.
It is said that the reward is decided at the judgment seat of Christ and a wedding feast with Christ is held for 7 years.
For seven years, during the seven years of tribulation, there is a wedding feast in the air and rejoice and joy and happiness, and on earth wars, famines and murders just happen, but we enjoy a joyous feast in the air.
I don't quite understand the dispensationalist argument.
The worst war against the devil in human history is the 7 year tribulation, and you have to put all your strength into it, but you don't put any effort into it. They claim that they have been having a feast with the resurrected saints for 7 years.
They say it's fantastic.
Is it really before his return to earth in the air for a period of 7 years?
There is a saying in 1Thess 4:17.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
The text describes the period during which the raptured saints remain in the air when the rapture occurs.
Very well explained.
The word translated ‘reception’ in the text here is ‘apantesis’.
What does ‘apantesis’ mean?
It is a public event when important visitors, such as the emperor, tour the provincial towns.
This is a publicly welcome event.
What happens when a distinguished guest from abroad arrives?
In the case of a head of state, the president goes to the airport to receive him.
Let me ask you a question.
Are you doing a welcome event all day, one day or seven years?
It is 1 - 2 hours.
That's what welcomes means.
In Matthew 25:1-6, the same word ‘apantesis’ is used.
When the ten virgins went out to meet the groom, apantesis was used.
Then, I went to meet the bridegroom with ten virgins, but I always meet and greet him. Do you have a feast there for 7 years?
The reception ceremony is over while they are on the go to get oil.
That is to say that the raptured saints received the Christ who stayed in the air, that is, the Christ who descended into the air, and the time they stayed there was short.
Where will Christ and the saints come down if they stay there for a little while?
They will come down to the ground.
You don't need a 7-year period to do that.
This verse tells us that the pre-tribulation rapture is wrong.
At the end of the 7 years of tribulation, right before the destruction of the earth, the saints are raptured, transported into the air, destroyed this earth, the wicked are killed, and then returned to the earth.
Reception is a very short time.
Even if you only know the original Greek like this, you can sort it all out.
Because of the pastors don't know the original language.
Also, because of pastors only read the translated local Bibles.
Because pastors just believe someone interpreted it like this.
It's just unconditional trust.
What if you believe a lie?
2. The church will be raptured just before the 7 year tribulation to avoid God's wrath.
Those who follow dispensational eschatology teach that the church is to be raptured just before the 7 year tribulation to escape God's wrath.
They see the seven-year tribulation period as the period of wrath, and God never allows the saints to go through the seven-year tribulation pit of wrath.
‘Farewell, you wicked, I am going to heaven.’
‘Before the seven-year tribulation comes, I go to heaven.’
It is said to be raptured by doing this.
How excited are you?
How much fun would it be to save God in such an instant before the world is completely destroyed?
Does the Bible really teach that way?
In Luke 21:34-36, there is a verse where they say 'yes'.
34 “Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware, 35 like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. 36 Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.”
Therefore, you are able to avoid all these things that are to come, and 'fleeing' is called the rapture.
It is said that God will deliver them from tribulation.
Everything here is called the Seven Years Tribulation.
Always pray and stay awake to stand before the Son of Man.
They teach that this verse is a supporting verse for the pre-tribulation rapture.
Would that be true?
If you look at the front and back of the main text, if you give the title to Luke 21: 25-36, it is
teaching about the “coming of the Son of Man,” that is, the coming of Christ.
It is the second coming of the Lord.
But in the text, the power to avoid all these things, what does this mean?
Are you talking about the rapture?
So what is all this?
This isn't the 7 year tribulation.
If you look at the King James Version of the English Bible here, 'all these things' how can this be
the 7 year tribulation?
So what is 'all these things' here?
It is in Luke 21: 34.
34 “Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware,
Flee from debauchery, drunkenness, and the cares of life.
So, the sins of the saints living in the end times are that they are bound by debauchery, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life.
I can't tell the difference because I'm so interested in the world these days.
If there is greed, there is no discernment.
So, 'all these things' here are not the 7 years of tribulation, but debauchery, drunkenness, and worries of life.
To avoid this:
This does not teach the rapture before the tribulation, the prototype of the ephugein translated here in verse 36 as 'flee' is ekpheugo, ek(from) + pheugo(flee out).
These two words are combined.
This is not a removal.
It just means 'separate'.
Therefore, 'be able to avoid all these things' is not a phrase supporting the rapture theory before the tribulation, but 'pursue holiness to protect yourself from worldly things and stand before the Lord who will return'.
In 1 Thessalonians 3:13 and 5:23, and countless other passages related to the Second Coming, there are many words to seek holiness.
You have to understand that aspect.
3. The most decisive passage claiming the pre-tribulation rapture is Revelation 3:10
The most decisive passage for those dispensationalists who support the pre-tribulation rapture is Revelation 3:10.
10 “Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.
Obviously, all scholars testify that this verse will come to the entire world and test those who dwell on the earth in the seven years of tribulation.
Because you have kept the word of patience!
Because I kept my faith!
It was written that it will save you from the 7 years of tribulation at the time of the test, but it does not mean that.
The time of trial here is the time to come to the entire world to test those who dwell on the earth.
It means the 7 years of great tribulation. What does it mean to set you free from the time of temptation?
'set~free' translated as 'ek' also appears here.
What does 'ek' mean?
That's 'separation'.
It is to separate from some object or person.
This refers to the separation of the Israelites from the Egyptians before the Exodus.
It means that God protects you.
So, the exemption here does not refer to the pre-tribulation rapture.
It doesn't mean that God will take you.
I don't mean that.
That God will protect you.
So if you look at the NLT Bible, it translates well.
If you read Revelation 3: 10,
"I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world."
If you look here, "Protect you from" I will protect you from the times of great testing.
'Protect' it’s not about the rapture.
If you are going to rapture without going through the great tribulation, you should not use such a preposition.
You must use the preposition 'apo'.
'apo' means to take.
It's not about protection, it's about taking.
But 'ek' was written here.
There are places where the same 'ek' preposition is used.
There are other places that deal with the same thing.
John 17:15 says, "I do not pray for them to be taken out of the world, but to keep them from falling into evil."
'To preserve it so that it does not fall out' is said to be 'teresses autous ek tou ponerou'.
That means to preserve, not to take away.
It does not mean that the rapture will be before the 7 year tribulation, but it means that they will pass through the 7 year tribulation but will protect them from all kinds of trials and tribulation.
This refers to the saints going through tribulation.
All the saints are not the prophecies of the pre-tribulation rapture, which are raptured before the 7-year tribulation, but the prophecies of the passing of the tribulation.
All saints must pass through the 7 years of tribulation while being purified in the midst of suffering.
Now let me tell you the most important part of today's sermon.
I explained that the pre-tribulation rapture theory is wrong and the post-tribulation rapture theory is correct.
It has become clear, but now there is something more important.
The meaning and purpose of the rapture.
Why should there be rapture after the tribulation?
Few theologians know what the purpose is.
What do I need to know this?
You need to know the Millennium Kingdom.
But in Protestant theology, because of replacement theology, I have rarely heard of some pastors preaching about the millennial kingdom.
Of course, dispensationalists are talking about the millennium.
If you don't know this millennial kingdom, you don't know the purpose of the rapture.
So you don't know.
So what is the meaning and purpose of the rapture?
Having said this, I would like to conclude today's lecture.
So what is the meaning of the rapture?
The rapture is not an event that transforms the body of the saints into a transformed body and floats up into the air.
It is called the rapture when the angels are dragged away in the flesh.
It is greatly misunderstood.
Many Christians today say that change happens when the rapture comes.
It is said that the dead are resurrected and turned into a resurrected body, and we are transformed into a transformed body and ascend.
All of you, the resurrected body or the transformed body is the same holy body, but the resurrected body or the transformed body can just move without the help of angels.
Let's take an example.
If you look at Revelation 11: 11-12, there are these words
"But after three and a half days, God breathed life into them, and they stood up! Terror struck all who were staring at them. Then a loud voice from heaven called to the two prophets, “Come up
here!” And they rose to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched."
What this means is the work of the two witnesses in Revelation 11.
At the beginning of the 7 year tribulation, the two witnesses begin the ministry of preaching the gospel. At the end of the previous three and a half years, when their mission is over, the Antichrist sends an army to kill them.
And the Antichrist puts the bodies of the two witnesses on the market street for three and a half days.
And after three and a half days, the dead suddenly come alive and change to a resurrected body.
God resurrects them.
So, as soon as you become the body of a resurrected body, two witnesses hear voices from heaven.
'Come up here' just climb the cloud.
They don't need angels' help when they put on a resurrected body or become a transformed body.
Just go.
We can fly.
Just talking about it.
Resurrected or transformed bodies are the same body.
What is a resurrected body?
The resurrected body is the heavenly body that the dead will receive, and the transformed body is the heavenly body that the living will receives.
Do you understand what a transformative means?
So I have one question here.
Many Christians today believe that they will be changed at the rapture.
It is said that the dead are resurrected, and we become transformed bodies as we ascend from the living.
On what basis do you make that claim?
1 Corinthians 15: 51-54 provides the rationale for the claim that they are transformed and become transformed into the rapture.
These people refer to 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 as the rapture event.
Preachers regard the above verse and the transformational event in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 as the
same event.
Why would you consider it the same?
In 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18, there is the resurrection of the dead along with the rapture of the saints.
In 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, there is the resurrection and transformation of the dead.
The rapture of the saints in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and the transformation of the living saints in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 are intertwined.
It contrasts the event in which the dead are resurrected and the event in which the raptured saints are transformed into transformed bodies.
However, these two passages as one event.
To see two passages as one is to misunderstand the Bible.
In conclusion, it is a completely different case.
Couldn't the great eschatological theologians for 2000 years not discerned this?
It is invisible because your eyes are covered.
It's an entirely different case.
1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15: 51-54 are completely different events.
In 1 Corinthians 15: 52 there is this verse:
52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.
When it comes to when this event will happen, it will not happen when Jesus comes again on the earth.
It is to teach the resurrection of the saints who died after living in the flesh when the millennial kingdom ends and the event of redemption is completed, when Christ's earthly work is completed, when the people of the millennium do not participate in the resurrection at the second coming of Christ.
What this means is that all the saints will be resurrected when Jesus first comes again on the earth.
All the saints in the Old and New Testaments will be resurrected.
What starts next?
The Millennium Kingdom begins, and in the Millennium Kingdom, you will live in a physical body.
Because the saints have a body, they die at some day.
Then they too need a resurrection.
When will they be resurrected?
The people of the millennium will wear resurrected bodies before they enter the kingdom of heaven when the history of redemption is completed at the end of the millennium.
This is an entirely different case.
But why don't you realize this?
Simply put, we do not know this because we have not recognized the millennial kingdom for two thousand years because of replacement theology.
It is impossible to connect up to this millennial kingdom.
You are thinking only of a simple rapture case.
So many Protestant theologians are fools.
We need to know up to the Millennium Kingdom, but we don't know.
And the saints are resurrected.
And there will be people who will not die and survive until the end of the Millennium Kingdom.
The saints who remain alive until the end will not kill them when they go to eternal heaven when the work of redemption is completed.
Just like a resurrected body, they just live and put on a transformed body and change in an instant, allowing them to enter the eternal heaven.
This is a very important truth.
Then there is the change.
When Jesus returns to the earth, there is no change at the time of the rapture.
I live with a body.
Let me read 1 Corinthians 15: 51-54 once.
"But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!
It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown.
For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever.
And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:"
I just told you.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 are completely different events.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is the event of the resurrection of the dead and the rapture when Christ returns to the earth.
According to 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, the saints who died among the people of the millennium will be resurrected, and those who are alive until the end of the millennium will not pass through death, but will be changed and enter the eternal kingdom of heaven.
How can we prove that there is a resurrection and a change at the end of the millennium, where 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 is completely different from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18? If you ask me, you can prove it.
I will ask your questions.
When will death be abolished?
When will Jesus return to earth?
So, will there be no death when the Millennium begins?
Many Christians have a misconception that the Millennium Kingdom is not for those who have physical bodies, but for those who have resurrected bodies.
Most of Christians don't know, so that's what they think.
The population increases by giving birth to your children, but those who have resurrected or transformed bodies cannot have children.
Can you understand?
Since the saints do not know the basic common sense, they understand it roughly.
Then when will death be abolished?
When will Jesus return to earth?
No.
People who still live in the Millennium have a body.
When is death abolished?
It is the time when the millennial kingdom, when the history of redemption will be completed, will come to an end.
When all the people of heaven enter the eternal kingdom of heaven, when this world ceases to exist, death will be abolished.
That is, it is the time when it is destroyed by death.
I'll sort it out once again.
The difference is that the rapture event in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 occurs at the second coming of Christ and the change event in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 occurs at the end of the millennium.
Because death will be abolished not when Christ returns and begins the millennium (Revelation 19:11 - 20:20), but when the millennium ends and the eternal kingdom of heaven begins.
Revelation 20:11 ~ 21:4.
This fact is proven by looking at 1 Corinthians 15: 22-26.
You have to interpret it through context.
Let's read it together.
Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first fruit of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.
After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power.
Here, it is recorded that there will be two resurrections of the saints.
When is the first resurrection?
The second coming of Christ was called the Second Coming.
At this time, the rapture occurs and those who died before that time are resurrected.
This is the first resurrection.
When is the second resurrection?
When is the time to destroy all rule and all authority and power and give the kingdom to the Father?
When will the millennium begin or at the end of the Millennium?
It is the end of the Millennium Kingdom.
The history of redemption is not yet complete.
The history of redemption will be completed when the Millennium Kingdom ends.
Just at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, there is the resurrection of the second last saint.
To whom does the second resurrection apply?
It is a resurrection that only applies to the people of the Millennium Kingdom.
Now, if I look at the context of the text, the millennium will come to an end when the dead are resurrected and the livings are transformed in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54.
It is not the Second Coming of Jesus.
It is very clear.
Only those with a physical body can have children.
That is, when the work of redemption is completed and the eternal kingdom of heaven begins, death will be abolished.
1 Corinthians 15: 26 “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.”
Revelation 21: 4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, nor will there be any more mourning or crying or pain, for the first things have passed away.”
When death will be abolished is when the eternal heaven begins.
1Corinth 15: 26 “And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.”
Rev 21: 4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
It is an eternal heaven.
Then death becomes a waste.
This is not the time for Jesus to return.
So, you and I must realize how important good theology is.
Now, finally, what is the purpose of the rapture?
This is high light.
It is not the rapture to satisfy our catharsis.
There is a purpose of the rapture.
It has a redemptive purpose.
What is it?
Why do the saints who are raptured at Christ's Second Coming have to have bodies instead of transforming bodies?
It was said to be raptured in the body.
This is to become the Messianic kingdom of the ancestor, the millennial kingdom, to be established on this earth.
The Millennium Kingdom is to spread the descendants of the saints in the flesh.
Resurrected or transformed bodies cannot produce offspring.
Most of the saints will go through the 7 years of tribulation and be martyred before the seven bowl plagues are poured out.
Chapters 15 and 16 of Revelation tell us about the 7 bowls of plagues.
There is martyrdom in Revelation 14:1-16.
In Revelation 14:17-20, 16:17-21, God sequentially kills all the wicked in this world through war, famine, disease, and calamity.
Still, there are some wicked people who are still alive.
So what happens to the decisive tribulation?
Not a general natural disaster, but a great cataclysm.
More than 99% of the five oceans and six major states are overturned and almost die.
Then it also kills through a tectonic shift.
What about the wicked who still alive?
When Jesus returns to earth, he kills them all.
This is how it is.
So, when the Millennium Kingdom begins, not a single wicked person is alive in this world.
But let's think about it.
What do you need to start the Millennial Kingdom?
Millennial Kingdom needs human seeds.
Millennial Kingdom needs a human with a body.
But if we leave the saints in this world, will we be able to survive in the face of all kinds of diseases, wars, famines, tectonic changes, and natural disasters, but all five oceans and six continents are turned upside down?
No one is left.
However, in the Millennium Kingdom, the saints in the flesh must enter and sow seeds there to spread the descendants.
So you have to do rapture.
Right before the battle of Armageddon in the sixth bowl and the great catastrophe in the seventh bowl, in my opinion, just before the great catastrophe, God's chosen people through tribulation are raptured.
(The majority are martyred, leaving a small number of tribulation saints until the end of the 7 year tribulation).
Sending angels to rapture them with their bodies.
What is its purpose?
I am trying to become the ancestor of the Millennium Kingdom.
These millennial ancestors, a select few of the tribulation saints, have God's special protection until the end of the seventh year.
God protects them, and in an instant they rapture a few.
So to make sure they don't die.
And after killing all the wicked, it is to purify the earth for a certain period of time and then restore the broken earth.
After that, we will create a paradise on earth and there the raptured saints who will become ancestors of the millennium begin the millennium.
That's what the Bible teaches us.
The rapture saints become the ancestors of the Millennium Kingdom.
Most of the other saints are martyred.
There are two types of saints during the 7 year tribulation.
1) There are martyred saints during the tribulation.
2) There are saints who have passed through tribulation.
During the tribulation, about 99% of the martyrs are.
But the rapture was chosen by God, not what I wanted to do.
So now, because it is the end of the apocalypse, it has already been decided.
Some people have tribulation martyr saints and there are tribulation saints.
You don't know where you belong.
In Matthew 24: 22, there is a passage implying deliverance from that great tribulation.
Except for those days, no flesh will be saved, but for the sake of those who are chosen (to be raptured), those days are shortened.
These are people with a body.
We are believers, but we are believers who are being raptured.
But the chosen ones who have this body, these are the people who will become the ancestors of the Millennium Kingdom, and these people will be the raptured.
Where does that bible verse come from?
This is Matthew 24: 31.
"He will send his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
In Matthew 24:22, 'The elect have a body.' I say.
They are saints with raptured bodies.
It is not yet revived or transformed.
Then I'll finish
May you prepare for the end times in holiness and truth by telling people the meaning and purpose of the rapture!
I bless you in the name of the Lord
