Hermeneutics - 1
A. Principle of Bible Hermeneutics
Ⅰ. Introduction
Hermeneutics is from “hermenia” in Greek word.
1. The interpreter must clearly understand the main scripture. Then he can effectively interpret the word of God.
2. It is forbidden to interpret the Bible in an extreme way.
3. Excessive textism is forbidden.
4. We must follow the path of hermeneutic moderation.
5. The interpreter's past experience or creed should not be the standard for Bible interpretation.
It can be referenced, but it cannot be a standard.
6. The interpreter's freedom must be regulated by the fact that the Bible is the word of the exact and infallible God written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
7. A learner who learns how to interpret must observe good interpreters and learn his methods.
8. The personality of the interpreter is important.
