D. Bang's Message (“It will be used once and it will be gone.”)

 Scripture Col 2: 20 – 3: 10

 Title: “It will be used once and it will be gone.”

1. These days, I feel a sense of crisis about the destruction of the global environment.

2. The main culprit is that humans have created abnormal climates by using a lot of fossil fuels.

3. As countries all over the world become urbanized, they need a lot more energy.

4. 20 years ago, developing countries didn't even use smartphones.

5. At that time, I made a living by riding a bicycle and farming and ranching.

6. However, as the price of goods rose and the labor cost rose, young people gathered in the city.

7. Cities have tremendous daily needs for electricity, oil and food.

8. Cropland is reduced due to the need for roads and houses.

9. Utilize dams by blocking rivers to use water and create electricity.

10. The earth loses its ability to rotate due to exhaust fumes from numerous cars and fumes from factories.

11. The climate is in trouble.

12. Almost all of the Arctic ice has melted.

13. There is no snow in the Andes Mountains of South America.

14. Baekdu Mountain, which is covered with snow for 220 days a year, is covered with snow for less than 100 days.

15. How many plastic products are destroying the environment everywhere?

16. Even if the government regulates disposable products, their use is increasing.

17. All food containers ordered at home due to the corona pandemic are disposable items.

18. These are things that are used once and thrown away.

19. Bowls, spoons, forks, chopsticks, side dish bowls, plastic bags (soy sauce, vinegar, sauce...)

20. Domestic waste is increasing by 9% every year, so there is almost no landfill.

21. Today we will look at things that are used once and then thrown away and the Word of God given to our lives.

22. I want to be taught about the truth.

23. We are those who accepted Christ Jesus as our Lord.

24. Those who accept the Lord as their master are called saints.

25. They are called those who have received grace.

26. This grace, once received, never disappears.

27. The reason is because my choice and God's choice have been combined.

28. Read John 15:1–2 together.

29. “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

30. God manages the saints who have been grafted into Jesus.

31. God is the grafter.

32. Crops are managed by people, but people are managed by God.

33. A person who has nothing to do with God is called an insignificant being.

34. We are the lives attached to Jesus.

35. These are the saints who received Jesus as their owner.

36. Colossians 2:6–7

37. “6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

38. It is God's command to be fully united with Jesus.

39. Am I fully united with Jesus now?

40. God knows us, and you yourselves will know.

41. This matter cannot be mistaken.

42. Illusions are of a nature that do not excite the conscience.

43. While our conscience is mistaken that the number 3 is number 8, it does not waver.

44. But it is different if I lie against the truth.

45. Our consciences are troubled and our hearts are troubled within us.

46. If I feel no discomfort during or after the lie,

47. This man's conscience is already destined for judgment.

48. I received grace from the mouth of such an unscrupulous person. He was filled with the Holy Spirit.

49. God has blessed me. It's all lies, lies.

69. If I am filled with Jesus in me, I am the center of the world now.

70. But if I am still full of myself, I am living in the flesh to be judged.

72. It is Jesus who gave up his spiritual body to death for us.

74. If we believe in Jesus, we must live with him.

78. If you repent and do not receive the grace of the Holy Spirit, it will be a disaster.

79. Disposable items that are used once and then disappear.

81. God never makes disposable products.

84. So I am the center of the world.

85. No matter how splendid and beautiful things of the world are, they will disappear in due time.

87. It is natural for believers to live their lives hoping for heaven.

88. However, there are many problems to live all life longing for heaven and considering life in the world to be in vain.

89. It is not God's will to reject the world and go deep into the mountains.

90. Jesus who met Paul told him to go to Damascus, the capital of Syria.

91. ‘Ananias’, a pioneering church pastor at the time, was pastoring in the middle of the city.

92. Every day I heard the voice of Jesus and in his spiritual prayer.

93. Amazing miracles of the Holy Spirit still happen to those who hear the voice of God.

94. Anyone who speaks without hearing the voice of God is lying.

95. Paul, who began to see through the prayer of the laying on of hands by Ananias, became the greatest evangelist.

96. He even built a tent for even more intimate contact with one person.

97. Paul's sincere appearance gave him the trust of many people.

98. After we receive the Holy Spirit, we are overflowing with wisdom, confidence, and hope.

99. We who have received the Holy Spirit work tirelessly, have bright faces, smile well, and are kind.

100. Paul used to be a tyrannical man who caught and killed people.

101. But now he has become a working man, smiling and happy in overalls, like the common people.

102. Since God was with me, my guilt and worry disappeared.

103. When we have such grace, abundant fruits of evangelism are borne.

104. When you receive grace, you work harder than anyone else and do your best.

105. The Holy Spirit rules over all circumstances, and grace abounds in all things.

106. When such a man of God falls into the temptation of the devil and falls into the temptation, he does not preach the gospel, but preaches the decrees and laws of the world.

107. Ethics, morality, and world religions are discussed, and in the end, all religions are the same. speak.

114. The region of Colossae is a small town just below Laodicea.

115. From Revelation 3:14, the church in Laodicea is rebuked.

116. This city is famous for its quality thermal water.

117. Many sick people stayed for a long time and were cured by bathing in hot springs.

118. Eye drops produced only in this city were used, especially for patients with poor eyesight.

119. It is a special city with good views and cold water coming down from the northern ice caps.

120. A mixture of hot spring water and cold water flowing from snowy mountains, and lukewarm water was supplied to each household.

121. This Laodicean church absorbed the teachings of the world and blended them with the Word of God.

122. To live by faith is to live in obedience to the Word of God.

123. To be contrary to the Word is not to obey, but to turn away.

124. The Holy Spirit helps us to obey the Word of God in us.

125. To insult the Holy Spirit is to disobey.

126. It is not praying or following the will of the Holy Spirit, but doing things according to one's own will.

127. God warns that he will vomit up such saints and tells them to repent.

128. Revelation 3:18

“18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.”

129. Disposable plates are never packaged and sold. I buy hundreds of piles, counting them as needed.

130. I haven't seen a place that sells disposable cups packaged individually.

131. It is a trivial product because it is used once and thrown away.

132. It's cheap, so I don't regret losing one.

133. Even if something is defective, I will not take one of them and ask the store owner to exchange it.

134. After we use it, we collect it and take it to a recycling plant to make it again because it doesn't perish, or else we burn most of it.

135. God has given us faith as pure gold.

136. He raised us up as children of the holy God.

137. God has clothed us in the name of Jesus Christ.

138. He opened our eyes to see only perishable things in the world.

139. We have been given special grace to look to Heaven.140. In the process of this happening, God himself paid the price.

141. He made the only Son of God to be a sacrifice for the sins of sinners.

142. When the Son of God rises again from the grave, he opens the tomb of the dead of the saints who believe in it and rises with them.

143. We are not earthbound.

144. My body ages and returns to dust, but the man within me is alive with eternal life.

147. Colossians 3: 1

“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.”

148. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

149. Worship is to glorify and worship the throne of God on earth.

150. It is time to receive God's grace through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

151. Is the time for worship and prayer disappearing for me now?

152. This fading away is not seeking God.

153. To possess more of the things of the earth, to keep away from the things above.

154. The most thoughts and words of non-believers are “If you believe in Jesus, do you get money or bread?”

155. But God gives money and rice cakes to those who believe in Jesus well.

156. On the other hand, those who do not believe in Jesus lack money and bread.

157. Have you ever seen someone who believed in Jesus and became poor?

158. There are such people who believe wrongly.

159. Except for those who have fallen into strange doctrines such as heresy, we are not poor although we live a good life of faith.

160. The reason is very simple.

161. Wealth does not increase according to our calculations, but it is filled with grace.

162. Having a lot of disposable items at home doesn't make you rich.

163. Do you use disposable items when you are in a hurry and throw them away, or do you not use them to dispose of garbage after use in places where it is difficult to wash dishes?

164. God is grieved that the saints think of earthly things.

165. The branch attached to the vine goes up and bears many grapes, but if the branch has no fruit or interferes with other vines, it is cut off.

166. Thank God, the farmer, for the branches that bear fruit well.

167. But God is a terrible judge of the unfruitful branch.

168. Is God grateful to me now?

169. Or is he a terrible judge?

“Isn’t it fun to walk on the road with the Lord? I will follow in the footsteps of our Lord.

Step by step, we will walk day by day with the Lord Jesus.”

172. As I sing this hymn, I cannot wish to own more of the earth.

173. You cannot cling to earthly things while singing this hymn.

174. Countless saints, clinging to earthly things, eventually lost their faith and died miserably.

175. My life is not governed by this earth.

176. The Bible teaches that my life is now hidden in God.

177. Colossians 3:3

178. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

179. The proof that I am saved is that I keep the Lord's Day in this world and live my life centered on the Lord Jesus Christ!

180. I hope you realize that you shouldn't live like that if your judgments and choices, your experience, knowledge, and habits are still being given priority.

181. Do not pick up and put on the soiled garments of your old nature, but put on new ones.

182. Uncomfortable at first.

183. If you keep wearing it, you will get used to it.

184. As my mind undergoes a change, I gradually lose my attraction to earthly things and want to know and enjoy more spiritual and heavenly things.

185. God did not call the saints as beings that were once used and disappeared.

186. Jesus Christ is the one who came to save me as the Chief Shepherd in order to put the lost Lamb of God in the sheepfold so that we may live together forever.

187. He came as a man because He is a God whom we dare not meet.

188. We must learn His character, train with His Word, and become accustomed to it.

189. Only then can you enter heaven and live as comfortably as you would in your hometown.

190. In the Kingdom of God, there is no place to wash soiled clothes or go to the bathroom to wipe off dirt.

191. We are the perfect sanctified people the moment God called us.

192. So when the Lord was washing the feet of the disciples, Peter asked the Lord to wipe his whole body, but he said that he was already clean.

193. Saints must wear the belt of humility to each other and serve the lowest place.

194. An elder I know has been attending a large church for decades and has a great social status.

195. By the way, they clean the toilets of the large chapel that goes up to the 8th floor every Saturday.

196. If you go abroad for business, his family will come and do it.

197. God blessed the business and other business man want to do business abroad as well as domestically.

198. The life hidden in God is such that all life on earth is directed towards God.

199. People in the world say that people who believe in Jesus are pitiful.

What fun are you living?

200. He doesn't go to see autumn leaves, doesn't look for local restaurants, doesn't go to hot springs, and just goes to church whenever he gets a chance and says it's pathetic.

201. They don't know what grace is!

202. It is because I do not know the thrill of being saved at all.

203. Since we hope for God's glorious kingdom, which is more beautiful and eternal than this world, It is to live holding on to God's promises more.

204. Colossians 3: 4

“And when Christ, who is your[a] life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.”

205. The place where disposable items are waiting is an incinerator.

206. The place that awaits the saints of faith like gold is the kingdom of glory.

207. We are waiting, preparing to meet Jesus that day.

208. When Jesus, who saved my dead life, returns, what will he look like?

209. Can I really match the glory of God with my current appearance?

210. If you are a person who believes in Jesus, the way you live will change.

211. The agent of change is the Holy Spirit.

212. The saints of the Colossian church became like the citizens of the wealthy city of Laodicea

213. Just as the European church, which used to live in abundance, has fallen, the church will surely perish if it pursues material wealth.

214. Colossians 3:5 (together)

“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.”

215. In the world, those of high rank are served and treated.

216. God tells us to kill our members (position and authority) on earth.

217. Fornication, uncleanness, lust, evil lust, and covetousness are mobilized to exalt the body on earth.

226. In the world, people are treated as good if they are wealthy, strong, and talented, but bad if they are poor, weak, and talented.

227. Who would deny this?

228. The biggest reason why faith is corrupt and secular is that it starts rapidly when you try to satisfy your own greed.

229. A Christian must be uncomfortable in such a position.

230. Of course, I am not saying that all Christians should be in a low position.

231. To rise, to become rich, and to be popular must all be done according to God's way and according to the process.

232. Do not follow the old ways.

233. Live as a new person, take on challenges, and go out fighting with sincerity in silence.

234. Do not follow the practices established by those who follow the members of the body.

235. Reject the rules and laws of the world.

236. Trust that God is leading me and take one step at a time.

237. Walk slowly, following Christ.

238. If you do not live like this and claim to believe in Christ but live the world's way, you are living a worthless life.

239. All I can do now is live a life that was once used and then lost.

240. I initially followed God who called me when I was living a humble life.

241. But now, are you living the old way again for the comfort of the flesh and the pride and lust of this life?

242. Hear and obey the Colossians as it is delivered to us.

243. We must return to the Lord. Change your life.

244. Let go of your greed.

245. Give up if it's not God's way.

246. Colossians 3: 9,10

“Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.”

247. Restore the image of God.

248. Don't be satisfied with just knowing.

249. The knowledge I have is that I am following the truth.

250. If you absolutely follow the truth, people will not live the way they used to.

251. The truth shall set you free.

252. The way to live free from the bondage of the world is to follow the truth.

255. I hope you will be a noble person who will be used forever.

256. Jesus Christ, who is waiting for us, sits at the right hand of the throne of God and prays for us to enter the kingdom of glory.
