A Preview of the Heavenly Worship (Revelation 4:6-11)

In the Bible, there are four events in which the gates of heaven were opened First, during the desperate and hopeless period of Babylonian captivity in the Old Testament, the gate of Heaven was opened to Ezekiel by the Kebar River Ezekiel was invited to the Heavenly Worship. Second, there is no story that the gate of Heaven was opened, but while Isaiah was worshiping Cod in the temple, the temple itself was transformed into the place of Heavenly Worship At that time, in the place where the seraphs worshipped praised and exalted Cod there was Isaiah In the New Testament when Jesus was baptized heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on hum And also a voice came from heaven, You are my Son, whom I love with you I am well pleased lastly the scene that the gate of Heaven was opened wide and John was invited to the Heavenly Worship is recorded in today's text of the Book of Revelation I'd like to invite you to this Worship of Heaven

Characteristics of Heavenly Worship

The gate of heaven is opened to experience Heavenly Worship if we ex plain the characteristics of Heavenly Worship into one word, it is the throne There should be the throne Therefore, we also call Heavenly Worship the Throne Worship Before the Throne Worship (y 2) to which the Apostle Paul was uited was a sea of glass, clear as crystalv 6 This explams the supreme splendour which a human can experience When we see the amazing scenery of nature we feel great or marvelous These wonders and splendors do not make the heart pound Rather it makes your heart comtortable So was the sea of glass clear as crystal The images of four living creatures around the throne can be found in verse7 The first living creahure was like a bon the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man the fourth was like a flying eagle These four living creatures that also ap pear in Ezekiel were also interpreted to refer to Four Gospels in th Early Church That is tour aving creatures are the ones specified for worshipping God among all the creatures God created Verse 8 monds "Each of the tour ving creatures had say wings and was covered with eves all around even under swingy Day and night they never stop saying "Holy holy, holy s the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come Four living creatures have separateh sawings Seraphs which appeared when the prophet suah offered a heavenly worship at the temple also had six wings Unlike the four-winged cherubs which are many responsible for guarding ser aphs are worship professional angels Their worship continued day and ruchy without stepping It's because the one who sts on the throne is worthy to receive the worship The first of two types of services which the text talks about while explaining the throne of Heaven is the worship by four living creatures. The heart and practice that Sunday worship service should offer to the Lord no matter what happened will be the teature of fulfilling the throne worship of this earth even though it looks modest

However, the reason why they wear gold crowns matching white clothes is that they already made a decision to take off the crowns 24 elders, that is, the people of God are those who offer the crowns of righteousness which Jesus awards to them to God,(M48), and this is the Heavenly Worship Service

One thing that should not be left out in the worship of 24 elders is in verse Il "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being Here worthy means that God should be God, and we should be the creature that worship Him. There is Let God be God' among the mottos from the Retomanon. When people committed crimes, they did not arknowledge God as God Therefore, we, the believers should let God be God This is the most important part of the Heavenly Worshup Taking off the crown and laying it before the one who sits on the throne, we should confess God is worthy to be God After worthy in the latter part of verse il there are three explanations about the reason why He is worthy Fust, the Lord is wor thy because He created all things' Second, He is worthy because all things were created by His will Third He is worthy All things were created and have their being The Lord created all things and All things were created by Him have the same content with only the difference between active voice and passive voice. This is the device to emphasize specifically the content in the cen ter because of your will they existed It means that God created the world, holds it to be fulfilled according to His own will, and reigns and preserves a by His providence It explains that therefore, Cod is worthy and the worshup by Taking our crowns off and laving them before God is the Heavenly Worship

It was when I was invited to a Korean Church in Rome and preached a Sunday semmon there. It was a church where students studying abroad were majonty members of the congregation, and twenty members of the choir were all vocalists. It was an amazing singing. But what I was really moved try was the singing of the congregation rather than the choir unging Among about 80 worshippers 75% of them were vocalists It was really a splendid singing Lake this, the Heavenly Worship is the worship offered by a professional of profes sionals. It is the worship that tour living creatures created for worshipping God offer by words without ceasing The Heavenly prayer is the prayer that 24 elders who represents the people God redeemed offer by Living their crowns before God and confessing The Lord is worthy Dear folks. I hope that keeping this word of today in your heart, you will dream of the throne of God Looking at the throne and going towant the throne are the core of the Heav enly Worship When we look at the Heavenly Worship confession comes into being hope you will once confess your heart fully to the Lord I hope those who do not have a special confession in the heart will contess, Jesus is so worthy The throne is not only the place we should look at but also the place we should go towant The Precious Blood opens the path to the throne. It is the reason we should take off our own crowns when going to the throne Which crowns will you take off If there is nothing special that comes to your mind I hope you take off the crown of pride Lastly, the throne is not the place to which you go once and do not go any more. We should sojourn on the throne If you stay on the throne, you come to live before the throne I hope in the Lord you long for sojouring on the throne and experience the throne
