Ⅳ. The importance of the text
1. Biblical divine origin
Bible hermeneutics says, "The Bible is the word of God." You have to start with the belief that.
This belief allows us to immediately understand the nature of God in the Bible. In other words, “The Bible is the word of God.” the belief that it must be presupposed.
These words were written with God's inspiration. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:12-21)
2. Inspiration of Bible
1) The Authors of the Bible
As the Bible writers wrote the Bible, they thought they were writing the Word of God.
a) The apostle John wrote, “The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, that he will teach you all things and will remind you of all that I have told you” (John 14:26).
These words testify that the apostle John was helped the Holy Spirit when he wrote the Bible.
b) 2 Peter 3:16 ---- Those who are ignorant and those who are not strong are forced to solve it like other Bibles -----
The word “as in the other Bibles” is used by Peter.
This means that Peter also acknowledges the Bible written by Paul.
c) When writing letters to the church, the apostles emphasize that they are the apostles of the church.
(Rom 1:1; 1 Cor 1:1; Eph 1:1; Col 1:1; 1 Tim 1:1; 2 Tim 1:1; Titus 1:1; 1 Peter 1:1; 2 Peter 1:1)
2) 2Timothy 3:16
“Every Bible is inspired by God, and it is beneficial for teaching, reproof, righteousness and righteousness.” Notice the word “things of God's inspiration” here.
The text represents the authority of the Bible.
Bible: Old Testament
All: The entire Old Testament
Inspired by God: Poured Out by God's Breath
3. The nature of language
1) The divine origin of language.
The Bible says that language came from God.
God has made an ear and made it possible to hear the Word, and to speak and listen to each other. “Whoever has made an ear will not listen.”
(Psalm 94:9; 116:1,2)
Language of revelation (Ephesians 3:3~4): God communicated his will using human language.
God's mystery can be expressed in language (and can be expressed in a way other than language), and the truth of God in language can be passed on to future generations.
2) Interpretive nature of language
There is no confusion in the nature of the original language.
Deliver exactly what you want to deliver.
Confusion came because the way of expression of language was changed according to the curse of God due to the fall of man, but the language of the Garden of Eden does not confuse.
God is trying to communicate God's will to us, we had no problem in realizing God's redemptive history.
3) The historical nature of language
History does not take place in the middle of a vacuum.
History is always with us and with language.
And the same history did not exist in the stream of history.
Even in the same language, the content used differs according to the times, and the content understood by future generations of readers is different.
4. Unity of the Bible
The divine origin of the Bible speaks of unity.
Because the whole Bible is written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). Today, modern theology evaluates the Bible by making rules outside the Bible.
So the theological method of modern theology is wrong. The evaluation standards of modern theology are humanism and rationalism.
The unity of the Bible is characterized by redemptive-historical.
