7. Absolute belief

SSamuel 2022. 4. 22. 18:03

Matthew 9: 27-31

27 After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”

30 Then their eyes were opened, and they could see! Jesus sternly warned them, “Don’t tell anyone about this.”

31 But instead, they went out and spread his fame all over the region.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Everything is done according to faith. Shadows are created following reality.

Christians and worldly people are very different here. In the world, life is the reality and faith is the shadow.  As long as you live, you will have faith.

However, for believers, faith is the substance and life is the shadow.

The realm of life expands as much as faith.

Faith is absolute.  All problems in the world are relative.

No one knows when or where they will encounter any problems.

But for Christians, the answer is always one.

Whatever the situation or any problem we encounter, the answer is faith.

As long as you believe in the Lord, your problem will be solved.

The problem is relative.  But faith is absolute.

1. The object of faith is absolute.

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”

(Matthew 9: 28)

Notice Jesus' response to the blind people's request to have pity on them.

Jesus did not ask their will, but asked if they had faith in the Lord.

Faith is believing in the Lord.  Because only the Lord is the most absolute.

Faith is absolute about the Lord, not relative to the world and people.

The word “absolute” refers to the Lord who exists forever without changing according to any conditions or circumstances.

People's problems differ from time to time, but the reason faith is power is the same because the Lord who sees and works this faith is the same.

The matter is relative, but the Lord is absolute.

2. The power of faith is absolute.

Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” (Matthew 9: 29).

The Lord touched their eyes and told them to do what they believed.

No matter what the problem is, if you have faith, you will have power.

The Lord always asked people who came to us with problems if they had faith.

No matter what a person's problems may be, the power of faith is absolute.

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. (Mark 11: 24).

Whatever you pray for, if you believe that you have received it, it will happen.

No matter what the problem is, if you have faith, you will receive an answer.

The Lord doesn't always question whether a problem is solvable or not, he asks if they have faith.

He always proclaimed 'according to the faith.'

Because the power of faith is absolute. Whatever the problem is, just believe and it will be solved.

3. The basis of faith is absolute.

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”

(Matthew 9: 28).

The Lord asked them to believe.

It awakened their faith. Faith is a gift from the Lord, not a human thought.

So faith comes from hearing, which is, hearing the Good News about Christ. (Romans 10:17).

Faith comes from hearing, and hearing has already been accomplished through the word of Christ. The faith that Christians have is given by the Lord.

Faith is absolute because it is given by the Lord.
